Jacques Delors Conference 2023
The ecological transition in Europe

The programme
This year, at the Jacques Delors 2023 Conference, we addressed the various facets of the ecological transition, a topic that is as complex as it is worrying for the younger generations, so multidimensional is it. From the socio-professional upheavals it entails to the behavioural changes it necessitates, it is necessary for political decision-makers to discuss and work with civil society to accompany this transition towards a more responsible and sustainable world. This event was structured around three moments:
- Debates with European personalities aimed at creating a dialogue around the future of Europe. Our guest of honour, Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of the Green Deal, will discuss with young people the ecological challenges that lie ahead, the actions being taken by the European institutions in this area and the role of civil society in driving these changes.
- Educational stands and workshops will be run by European associations and organisations. Participants will thus be able to discover their initiatives to make our society more responsible, fairer and more sober.
- A theatrical performance En vert et avec tous, an original creation by the young people of the Académie Notre Europe directed by the director Julien Avril.
