The Jacques Delors Conference

The Jacques Delors Conference is the flagship annual event of the Académie Notre Europe. It has two objectives. Firstly, to open up a space for dialogue between European figures and young people so that the latter can express their expectations regarding the European project. On the other hand, it aims to give young people a better understanding of the European Union and its policies. This conference, which is open to all young people aged 16 to 30, is also the closing session of the Académie’s free annual programme on European citizenship.

The 2026 Edition Jacques Delors Conference will focus on the negotiations surrounding the Multiannual Financial Framework and the future EU budget. The theme of the day, which will take place at the Bank of France, is “the EU ambitions tested by its ressources”. This event will be structured around three parts :

Debates with high-level European speakers.
The certificate presentation ceremony for the Académie Notre Europe programme. The 115 young people will receive their certificates, marking the end of the European year they have completed together.
Educational stands and workshops led by European organisations to showcase European initiatives in support of youth.

Debates with European leaders around the Multiannual Financial Framework as a lever for a more competitive, inclusive, and sustainable European Union. The guest of honour for the 2025 edition was Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Stéphane Séjourné.

The presentation of certificates by the Académie Notre Europe

This conference will also mark the closing ceremony of the annual programme for the 2025–2026 cohort “Sofia Corradi”, a pioneer of the Erasmus programme, which was subsequently developed under the leadership of Jacques Delors. This highlight will provide an opportunity to celebrate the 115 graduates of the 2025–2026 cohort, who for a year met every month to discuss, debate and sometimes even get heated about the European Union and its future.

A citizen forum

A forum with educational stands and workshops run by European organisations to highlight European initiatives for young people and promote active engagement from everyone.
