Jacques Delors Conference

Strengthening the Single Market for a Sustainable and Prosperous Future for Citizens,

The Jacques Delors Conference

The Jacques Delors Conference is the flagship annual event of the Académie Notre Europe. It has two objectives. Firstly, to open up a space for dialogue between European figures and young people so that the latter can express their expectations regarding the European project. On the other hand, it aims to give young people a better understanding of the European Union and its policies. This conference, which is open to all young people aged 16 to 30, is also the closing session of the Académie’s free annual programme on European citizenship.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Jacques Delors Conference marks the 100th anniversary of Jacques Delors’ birth. The theme of the day, which will take place at the Banque de France, is “Strengthening the Single Market for a sustainable and prosperous future for citizens”. The event will be structured around three parts:

  • Debates with high-level European personalities, with guest of honour Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, and an address by the Governor of the Banque de France, François Villeroy de Galhau.
  • Educational stands and workshops led by associations and European organisations to showcase European initiatives in support of youth.
  • A tribute to Jacques Delors, on the centenary of his birth, with an original play titled “Delors in Our Hands – The Architect’s Torch”, created by the young participants of the Académie together with director Julien Avril.
