Jacques Delors Agora 2024

Jacques Delors Agora 2024 in Lisbon

The first Jacques Delors Agora was held from 1 to 4 July 2024 in Lisbon. The event, co-organised by three partners committed to promoting European citizenship and values – the Académie Notre Europe, the Academia Europea Leadership (Barcelona) and the Scuola di Politiche (Rome) – brought together 130 young people from all over Europe and even further afield. Over the course of four days, the young people engaged in discussions with European decision-makers and experts on the main challenges facing the European Union, as well as the priorities for 2030. The Agora gave young people the opportunity to express themselves through debates and workshops. This first edition was organised under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Portugal.

Who were the participants in the 2024 edition?

130 profiles from all over the world were selected. 32 nationalities were represented in the group, with an equal number of young women and young men. The group of participants was anything but homogeneous in terms of status or profile. The group included students, workers and unemployed people. Some had studied European politics, others had not. The Agora aims to be a place for rich and diverse debate.
