European Economic and budgetary session – Banque de France

Between repaying the common debt, industrial recovery and competitiveness, the EU must make decisive choices for its future as negotiations on the next multiannual budget loom. At a time of major transitions and in the face of geopolitical and economic threats, how can funding be ensured that is equal to the challenges?
On 17 January, the graduating class of the Académie Notre Europe was welcomed by the Banque de France to discuss these crucial issues. On this occasion, the Governor of this institution, François Villeroy de Galhau, shared with us his vision for the EU, in order to avoid the risk of a long slumber on the world stage.
Margot Trinquier-Coldeboeuf and Ginevra Vulterini return in this post to the highlights of this meeting and give their impressions.
