Jacques Delors Agora 2025

What is the Jacques Delors Agora?
The Jacques Delors Agora is a four-day event co-organised by three partners engaged in the promotion of European citizenship and values : The Academia Europea Leadership (Barcelona), The Académie Notre Europe (Paris), and The Scuola di Politiche (Rome).
It will bring together around 100 young minds from all over Europe to discuss with European decision-makers and experts about the main challenges facing the EU and the priorities for the upcoming five years. The Agora will empower young Europeans through debates and workshops and will take place in Barcelona from July 8 to 11, 2025.
Who can join the Jacques Delors Agora?
The Agora is open to anyone aged between 18 and 35 and willing to contribute to the discussions on the future of Europe. It is an event for all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds, giving a unique forum for young people to gather, exchange ideas and determine Europe’s Future. As the event is conducted entirely in English, we recommend at least a B2 level (CEFR) in English to ensure a fruitful participation in the event. The geographical diversity of the participants will be one of the selection criteria, to ensure that as many nationalities as possible are represented.
How can I apply?
The deadline to apply is April 13th at 23:59. You will need to join a CV and a short video explaining your motivation to join the event. Be sure to carefully read the information regarding the event before you apply. The participation to the event is free of charge, but the participants are expected to cover the costs of their trip to Barcelona and their accommodation. Participants are also expected to contribute with a lump sum of 50€ to cover expenses related with materials and meals during the event. Participants can choose in the application form to let the organisation of the event take care of their accommodation booking for the 3 nights (8-11 July breakfasts included) at CMU Penyafort-Montserrat (Av. Diagonal 639, Barcelona), in a double room with a shared bathroom, for a cost of 100€ or to book it by their own means.

Who were the Jacques Delors Agora participants ?
For the Agora, applications were open between March and April of 2024, and we invited anyone aged between 18 and 35 who was willing to contribute to the discussions on the future of Europe.
It was an event for all citizens, regardless of their backgrounds, giving a unique forum for young people to gather, exchange ideas and determine Europe’s Future. As the event was conducted entirely in English, a B2 level (CEFR) in English was asked to ensure a smooth running of the event. The geographical diversity of the participants was one of the selection criteria, to ensure that as many nationalities as possible were represented.
In the end, 130 profiles from all over the world were selected. We’re proud to have 32 nationalities represented, and to to have upheld gender equality with 50% female participants, 50% male The youth cohort we’ve selected was anything but homogenous : we had students, government staff, workers and unemployed people. Some had studied European politics, others had not. The Agora aimed to be a place for diverse and enriched debates.
